About the Stihl TS400 Cutquik Cut-Off Saw

The Stihl TS400 Cutquik concrete cut-off saw is one of the most popular saw models used by concrete contractors, landscapers, foundation contractors and others. The TS400 has a reputation worldwide for being one of the most dependable and better performing saws among cut-off saws.

There are many features the Stihl TS400 is known for, but cutting performance is number one. Also known for exceptionally long running times and a decrease in service intervals, the TS400 provides outstanding performance compared to other cut-off saws.

About Stihl TS400 Air Filters

The Stihl TS400 air filter includes three pieces; the pre-filter, inner filter and the air filter. The OEM part number for the TS400 air filter is 4223-007-1010. DHS Equipment offers an aftermarket air filter set for the TS400, which includes the pre-filter, inner filter and air filter. These sets are available singularly, or as a 5 pack, or 10 pack.

About Stihl TS400 Cylinders, Pistons and Crankshafts

Buying a new cut-off saw will far exceed the cost of overhauling your Stihl TS400 engine. You’ll find a full line of TS400 engine parts at DHS Equipment. We’re known for our overhaul kits that include the engine cylinder (4223-020-1200), cylinder base gasket (4223-029-2301), piston (4223-030-2000), pin and clips, and piston rings (1127-034-3006). Another popular engine part for the TS400 includes our crankshaft kit, which includes the crankshaft (4223-030-0400), needlecage bearing (9512-003-2340), and crankshaft bearings (9503-003-0450 and 9503-003-0341).

About Stihl TS400 Starters and Starter Parts

One of the most common parts replaced on a Stihl TS400 is the starter assembly. The starter assembly houses the starter spring (4223-190-0600), starter cup (4223-195-0600), starter pawl, and starter rope rotor pulley (4223-190-1001). DHS Equipment sells these parts individually, or you can replace the complete starter assembly (4223-190-0401).

About Stihl TS400 Drive Belts

DHS Equipment offers one of the most premium quality replacement TS400 drive belts (9490-000-7851), on the market. Known as a drive belt, or v-belt, you’ll find top quality aftermarket belts that meet or exceed Stihl OEM specifications.

About Stihl TS400 Carburetors and Carb Rebuild Kits

The Stihl TS400 may come equipped with the Tillotson HS279 carburetor (4223-120-0650), or the Walbro WJ-108A carburetor (4223-120-0653). Before purchasing a carburetor for your Stihl TS400, it’s important to identify the carburetor from your cut-off saw. The model number is usually stamped on the carburetor and should read “HS279” or “WJ-108A.”

You can also rebuild your Stihl TS400 carburetor using one of our carb rebuild kits. The carb rebuild kit for the Tillotson HS279 is part number 0000-007-1061, and the carb rebuild kit for the Walbro is part number 0000-007-1066.

About Stihl TS400 Ignition Coils

If your TS400 is running poorly, or missing, the ignition coil module may need to be replaced. There are two types of ignition coils for the TS400 cut-off saw. There is an older style 3 bolt ignition coil (4223-400-1300), which can be identified by the 3 bolt flywheel (4223-400-1200), and a newer style 2 bolt ignition coil (4223-400-1303), which can be identified by the 2 bolt flywheel (4223-400-1201). 3 bolt and 2 bolt ignition coils are not interchangeable, so make sure you identify the correct coil before ordering ignition parts for your TS400.
