Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — engineered to the same pressure charge, stroke length, and damping force as the original gas spring, so hood or panel operation feels and functions exactly as designed
- Direct-Fit Replacement — mounts to the same bracket points as the factory unit with no rework to mounting hardware or surrounding structure
- Broad Single Drum Roller Coverage — confirmed fit across BW 124, BW 145, BW 177, BW 211, BW 212, BW 213, BW 214, BW 216, BW 219, and BW 226 single drum rollers in D, DH, PDH, PD, DI, RC, and BVC variants
- Consistent Panel Support — a properly charged gas spring holds engine covers and access panels securely open during service, keeping both hands free and reducing the risk of uncontrolled panel drop
- Safe Access Assurance — a worn or depleted gas spring can allow heavy access panels to fall unexpectedly; replacing it with this genuine OEM unit restores the controlled, reliable hold needed for safe maintenance work
A gas spring is a sealed, gas-pressurized cylinder that supports and controls the movement of hinged panels — most commonly engine hoods and service access covers on heavy equipment. It uses compressed nitrogen gas to generate a consistent extension force that holds the panel open at a set position without the need for props or stays. Replacing a failed gas spring restores safe, controlled panel operation and protects both the equipment and the technician working on it.
