The Bomag 05729146 V-Ribbed Belt is a genuine OEM component designed for BC-series refuse/landfill compactors and soil compactors, including the BC 472 RB, BC 472 RS, BC 462 EB, and BC 462 RB. As a direct OEM replacement, this belt is manufactured to the same specifications as the original, ensuring correct tensioning, alignment, and power transfer right out of the box. Sourced directly from Bomag, part number 05729146 is the correct service replacement when the original belt shows signs of wear, cracking, or slipping.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Drive Integrity — manufactured to Bomag's original ribbed profile geometry, ensuring consistent grip and load transfer across the full operating range of these heavy compactors
- Direct OEM Replacement — engineered to match the original belt routing and pulley engagement on BC-series machines, installing exactly as the factory belt did
- Broad BC-Series Coverage — fits the BC 472 RB and BC 472 RS refuse/landfill compactors, as well as the BC 462 EB soil compactor and BC 462 RB refuse/landfill compactor
- Sustained Power Delivery — a correctly tensioned V-ribbed belt maintains full accessory drive output; a worn or glazed belt causes slippage that starves hydraulic or charging systems of power
- Verified Part Number Fitment — ordering by Bomag part number 05729146 eliminates the guesswork of cross-referencing aftermarket catalogs, giving you confidence the correct belt arrives the first time
A V-ribbed belt transmits rotational power from the engine's crankshaft pulley to driven accessories such as the alternator, hydraulic pump, or cooling fan. The ribbed profile increases surface contact compared to a traditional V-belt, allowing higher torque loads to be transferred smoothly and with less slip. When this belt stretches, cracks, or loses its rib definition, accessory systems lose drive power — leading to charging failures, overheating, or reduced hydraulic output — making timely replacement essential to keeping these compactors working at full capacity.
