The Honda 16100-Z5K-V01 Carburetor Assembly (BE77V A) is a genuine OEM carburetor assembly designed for GX270 horizontal shaft engines. Honda sources this assembly to exact factory specifications, ensuring correct jetting, fuel metering, and air-fuel calibration for the GX270 engine. The BE77V A variant designation identifies a specific carburetor configuration — confirm part number 16100-Z5K-V01 against your engine's serial number and existing carburetor before ordering, as Honda supersedes carburetor assemblies at serial breaks within the GX270 line.
Key Features
- Correct Jetting and Fuel Metering — as a genuine OEM assembly, this carburetor delivers the precise air-fuel ratio the GX270 engine is tuned for, supporting consistent throttle response and stable idle
- Variant-Specific Configuration — the BE77V A designation identifies this as a distinct carburetor assembly; match this identifier to your existing unit to confirm you are ordering the right version for your engine
- Direct OEM Replacement — engineered to drop into GX270 horizontal shaft engines using the original mounting points and fuel line connections, with no adaptation required
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda updates carburetor assemblies at production serial breaks; check your engine's serial number against the fitment table to confirm this is the correct assembly for your unit
The carburetor is responsible for mixing air and fuel in the correct proportions before delivery to the combustion chamber. On the GX270 horizontal shaft engine, a properly functioning carburetor assembly maintains smooth startup, steady power output under load, and clean idle. When a carburetor wears, becomes clogged, or develops internal fuel circuit damage, the engine may exhibit hard starting, rough running, fuel flooding, or loss of power — symptoms that a direct OEM replacement assembly resolves at the source rather than through piecemeal repair of individual jets and gaskets.
