The Honda 16100-ZH9-802 Carburetor Assembly (BE24B D) is a genuine OEM carburetor designed for GX270 horizontal shaft engines. As a factory-original component, this carburetor is built to Honda's exact specifications, ensuring correct fuel metering and air-fuel mixture for the GX270. If your engine is running rough, flooding, or refusing to start, a worn or compromised carburetor is often the cause — and this direct OEM replacement restores proper fueling to get the engine back on the job.
Key Features
- Correct Fuel Metering — manufactured to Honda's OEM specifications, this carburetor delivers the precise air-fuel ratio the GX270 engine requires for consistent power output and clean running.
- Direct OEM Replacement — built to match the original unit on GX270 horizontal shaft engines; installs in place of the factory carburetor with no adaptation needed.
- Variant-Specific Fit — the BE24B D designation identifies this as a specific carburetor variant for the GX270 series; verify your engine's carburetor code before ordering to confirm this is the correct unit for your machine.
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda supersedes carburetor assemblies at production breaks, so always cross-check your GX270 engine serial number against the fitment table to confirm part number 16100-ZH9-802 is correct for your unit.
A carburetor is responsible for mixing fuel and air in the correct proportion before delivering the mixture to the engine's combustion chamber. On GX270 horizontal shaft engines, a properly functioning carburetor is essential for smooth starting, stable idle, and full-load power. When the carburetor wears, clogs, or develops internal faults — such as stuck needle valves or degraded jets — the engine may run lean or rich, surge at idle, produce black smoke, or fail to start altogether. Replacing the carburetor assembly restores correct mixture delivery and returns the engine to dependable operation.
