The Honda 16100-ZK9-R62 is a genuine OEM Carburetor Assembly (BE77R B/C) designed for GX270 horizontal shaft engines. As a direct Honda OEM part, it is built to the same specifications as the original unit it replaces, ensuring the correct jetting, fuel metering, and air-fuel ratio for the GX270. Verify your engine's serial number against the fitment table to confirm this is the right carburetor variant for your unit before ordering.
Key Features
- Correct Jetting and Fuel Metering — as a genuine Honda OEM carburetor, this assembly carries the exact jet sizing and needle settings engineered for the GX270, so fuel delivery matches what the engine was designed to run on
- Variant-Specific Fitment — the BE77R B/C designation identifies a specific carburetor variant within the GX270 production run; match this designation to the original unit on your engine before purchasing
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda supersedes carburetor assemblies at serial number breaks, so check your engine's serial number against the fitment table to confirm this assembly is correct for your production range
- Restores Starting and Running Performance — a worn or damaged carburetor causes hard starting, rough idle, fuel flooding, and poor throttle response; replacing it with this OEM assembly brings the engine back to its original operating behavior
The carburetor is responsible for mixing air and fuel in the correct ratio before delivering the mixture to the combustion chamber. On GX270 horizontal shaft engines, the carburetor assembly controls fuel flow at idle, mid-range, and wide-open throttle through a system of calibrated jets, a float, and a needle valve. When the carburetor wears, gums up, or develops a stuck float or clogged jet, the engine may flood, run lean, idle erratically, or refuse to start — problems that a properly functioning replacement carburetor resolves at the source.
