The Honda 16198-ZA0-980 Drain Tube is a genuine OEM component designed for EV4010, EV6010, and EVD4010 RV generators. As a direct Honda OEM part, it is manufactured to the same specifications as the original, ensuring an exact fit with no guesswork. This drain tube is the correct replacement for all three covered RV generator models, but always verify your unit's serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda periodically supersedes parts at production breaks.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Part — sourced directly from Honda, this drain tube meets the same specifications as the original component it replaces, with no adaptation required on your end.
- Exact-Fit Replacement — engineered specifically for EV4010, EV6010, and EVD4010 RV generators, ensuring proper routing and connection without modification.
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda supersedes parts at production breaks, so cross-check your generator's serial number against the fitment table to confirm part number 16198-ZA0-980 is correct for your unit.
- Restore Proper Drainage — a cracked, kinked, or deteriorated drain tube can lead to fluid pooling or improper drainage; replacing it promptly keeps the generator's drain system functioning as designed.
The drain tube on an RV generator provides a controlled path for draining fuel or accumulated moisture away from sensitive components — typically routed from the carburetor float bowl or overflow outlet to a safe exit point. This prevents fuel from pooling inside the generator housing where it could create a hazard or cause component damage. When the tube cracks, hardens with age, or becomes blocked, drainage is compromised and residue can collect in areas it should never reach; replacing the tube restores the generator's drainage path to its original, intended operation.
