The Honda 17500-ZE2-813ZC Fuel Tank Assembly (Gauge) (Black) is a genuine OEM component designed for GX270 horizontal shaft engines. Sourced directly from Honda, this assembly carries the exact part number, color designation, and gauge fitment your engine requires — taking the guesswork out of replacement. Because Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks, confirm your engine's serial number against the fitment table before ordering to ensure part number 17500-ZE2-813ZC is the correct application for your unit.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — manufactured to the same specification as the original assembly, ensuring the fuel gauge port, mounting points, and tank volume match what the GX270 engine left the factory with.
- Correct Variant for Gauge-Equipped Units — this assembly includes the fuel gauge provision; buyers with non-gauge tanks should verify which variant their engine carries before ordering.
- Black Color Match — the (Black) designation is part of the OEM spec for this assembly; confirm your original tank color to ensure a consistent appearance on your engine.
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda updates parts at production serial breaks, so check your GX270 serial number against the compatibility table to confirm this is the right assembly for your engine.
The fuel tank assembly stores the gasoline supply that feeds the GX270 engine's carburetor during operation. On gauge-equipped configurations, it also incorporates a fuel level gauge port, allowing the operator to monitor the remaining fuel without removing the tank cap. A cracked, leaking, or damaged tank compromises the engine's fuel supply and creates a safety hazard; replacing it with a correct OEM assembly restores proper fuel delivery and keeps the engine running at its rated output.
