The Honda 17510-ZB4-000ZH Fuel Tank (Power Red) is a genuine OEM replacement designed for GX240, GX340, GX390, and GX620 horizontal shaft engines, as well as EB3500 and EM3500 generators and the EW140 welder generator. As a direct Honda OEM component, this fuel tank is manufactured to the exact specifications of the original part it replaces, ensuring a correct fit without guesswork. Verify your unit's serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at specific serial breaks and more than one tank variant may be listed across these models. The Power Red color designation is part of the part number — confirm it matches the tank on your machine.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Construction — manufactured to Honda's original specifications for correct capacity, inlet geometry, and mounting interface, not a generic approximation.
- Color-Matched Variant — the Power Red finish is encoded in the part number 17510-ZB4-000ZH; confirm your existing tank carries the same color before purchasing, as other color variants exist for overlapping models.
- Broad Fitment Across Engines and Power Equipment — covers GX240, GX340, GX390, and GX620 horizontal shaft engines, plus the EB3500 and EM3500 generators and EW140 welder generator, including fitment for the equipment each powers.
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda revises tank part numbers at serial breaks; check your machine's serial number against the compatibility table to confirm this is the correct tank for your specific unit.
The fuel tank stores the gasoline supply that feeds the engine's carburetor, maintaining a steady reserve so the engine can run at consistent power output. A cracked, leaking, or deteriorated tank disrupts fuel delivery, causes fuel loss, and can leave the engine running lean or shutting down unexpectedly under load. Replacing a failed or damaged tank with a correct OEM unit restores proper fuel capacity and sealing, keeping the engine and the equipment it powers running as intended.
