Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Construction — manufactured to original specification, maintaining correct fuel capacity and outlet positioning for uncompromised fueling performance on your engine or generator.
- Direct-Fit Replacement — designed to match the original tank's mounting points and dimensions, so installation follows the same procedure as the factory unit with no reworking required.
- Broad Fitment Coverage — fits EN3500 and EN5000 generators and GX240 and GX270 horizontal shaft engines; check your serial number against the fitment table, as Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks.
- Variant Verification Advised — this tank is listed for both engine and generator applications; always confirm your model before ordering to ensure this is the correct variant for your specific unit.
The fuel tank stores the gasoline supply that feeds the engine's carburetor during operation. It is the starting point of the entire fuel delivery system — fuel flows from the tank through the petcock and fuel line to the carburetor, where it is metered and mixed with air before combustion. A cracked, degraded, or leaking tank compromises that supply, causing fuel loss, unreliable starting, rough running, or a fire hazard, making prompt replacement with a correctly fitted OEM unit essential for safe, consistent operation.
