The Honda 17511-Z4C-000 Fuel Tank is a genuine OEM replacement designed for GXH50 horizontal shaft engines. As a direct Honda OEM component, this fuel tank is manufactured to the exact specifications of the original part, ensuring a proper fit and correct fuel capacity for the engine. If your current tank is cracked, leaking, or damaged, this is the correct replacement to restore the fuel system to full working order.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — manufactured by Honda to original specifications, ensuring correct fit and fuel capacity for the GXH50 engine with no guesswork on compatibility.
- Direct Replacement — engineered to replace the original tank on GXH50 horizontal shaft engines, connecting to the existing fuel lines and mounting points as the original did.
- Restores Fuel Delivery — a cracked or leaking tank starves the engine of fuel and creates a hazard; replacing it with this OEM unit returns the fuel system to its original operating condition.
- Verify Your Serial Number — Honda updates parts at production serial breaks, so confirm your GXH50 serial number against the fitment table before ordering to ensure this is the correct tank for your unit.
The fuel tank stores and supplies the gasoline that feeds the carburetor on the GXH50 engine. It sits as the starting point of the fuel system — holding the fuel supply and allowing it to flow, typically by gravity, through the fuel valve and into the carburetor for combustion. When the tank develops a crack, pinhole leak, or fitting damage, the engine may run erratically, run dry unexpectedly, or present a fuel leak at the source. Replacing a compromised tank with a genuine Honda unit brings the fuel system back to its original, fully sealed condition.
