The Honda 17620-ZS9-R32 Fuel Filler Cap is a genuine OEM replacement designed for a wide range of Honda EB, EM, EP, and EU series generators, including the EB3800, EB4000, EB5000, EB6500, EB7000, EM3800, EM4000, EM5000, EM6500, EM7000, EP2500, EU3000, and EU6500. As a direct Honda OEM part, this cap is manufactured to the same specification as the original, so it seats and seals exactly as intended. Because Honda supersedes parts across serial ranges, confirm your generator's model and serial number against the fitment table before ordering to ensure part number 17620-ZS9-R32 is the correct cap for your unit.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Sealing Integrity — manufactured by Honda to match the original cap's thread profile and vent characteristics, ensuring the fuel tank closes and breathes as designed
- Direct-Fit Replacement — installs like the original with no rework needed, restoring proper tank closure on compatible Honda generators
- Broad Generator Compatibility — covers conventional generators including the EB3800, EB4000, EB5000, EB6500, EM3800, EM4000, EM5000, EM6500, and EP2500, as well as inverter generators including the EB7000, EM7000, EU3000, and EU6500
- Verify Serial Number Before Ordering — Honda updates OEM part numbers at production breakpoints; cross-reference your unit's serial number with the fitment table to confirm this cap applies to your machine
The fuel filler cap seals the opening of the generator's fuel tank, keeping fuel contained during operation and transport while allowing the tank to vent correctly so fuel can flow to the engine without vacuum lock. A cap that no longer seals properly can allow fuel vapors to escape, introduce contaminants into the tank, or restrict fuel delivery by creating a negative pressure buildup. Replacing a worn or damaged cap with a genuine Honda part restores proper tank function and keeps the fuel system operating as intended.
