The Honda 17702-921-000 Short Fuel Tube is a genuine OEM replacement built for B75, BF5, BF8, BF50, BF75, and BF100 portable and outboard motors. As a direct OEM component, this tube meets Honda's original design parameters, ensuring the fuel path it forms is maintained without compromise. Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks across its outboard lineup, so confirm your motor's serial number against the fitment table before ordering. This Short Fuel Tube is the correct OEM choice for restoring the fuel delivery circuit to its original operating condition.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Construction — manufactured to the same specification as the original, maintaining correct fuel flow dimensions and material integrity for an outboard fuel system environment
- Direct OEM Replacement — designed to install in place of the original tube without alteration, preserving the integrity of the fuel circuit in your outboard motor
- Broad Outboard Fitment — covers B75, BF5, BF8, BF50, BF75, and BF100 portable and outboard motors, including both the portable and standard outboard lines
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda outboard models span multiple production runs; check your motor's serial number against the fitment table to confirm this is the correct tube for your unit
The Short Fuel Tube is a section of rigid or semi-rigid tubing that carries fuel within the outboard motor's fuel delivery system, routing it between components such as the fuel filter, fuel pump, or carburetor. A correctly functioning fuel tube maintains an uninterrupted, sealed fuel path, allowing the engine to draw fuel consistently at all throttle positions. When this tube cracks, hardens, or degrades — as fuel-system components inevitably do with age and exposure to marine fuel — the result is fuel restriction, air ingestion, hard starting, or rough running at speed.
