The Honda 18310-ZG0-791 Muffler is a genuine OEM replacement built for the EG650 generator. Sourced directly from Honda, this muffler is manufactured to the same specifications as the original component on your machine. If your EG650 is running louder than usual or showing signs of exhaust damage, this is the correct replacement part — verify your unit's serial number against the fitment table to confirm applicability before ordering.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Construction — manufactured by Honda to match the original exhaust outlet geometry and mounting configuration of the EG650 generator, ensuring correct exhaust gas flow and sound attenuation from day one.
- Exact-Match Replacement — this muffler is the direct OEM replacement for the EG650; using part number 18310-ZG0-791 confirms you are ordering the specific part Honda designates for this machine.
- Restores Proper Exhaust Performance — a cracked, corroded, or damaged muffler allows exhaust gases to escape before the sound-dampening chamber, dramatically increasing operating noise and potentially exposing the operator to exhaust fumes.
- Check Your Serial Number — Honda updates parts at production serial breaks; confirm your EG650's serial number against the compatibility table to ensure this is the correct muffler for your unit.
The muffler is the final stage of the exhaust system on the EG650 generator. Hot exhaust gases produced during combustion travel from the engine's exhaust port into the muffler, where internal baffles reduce pressure and dissipate sound energy before the gases exit to atmosphere. A functioning muffler keeps operating noise within acceptable levels and routes exhaust safely away from the operator. When a muffler cracks, rusts through, or loses its baffling, the generator becomes significantly louder, fuel efficiency can drop as back-pressure changes, and exhaust gases may vent in unintended directions — all signs that replacement is overdue.
