The Honda 18382-Z2E-000 is a genuine OEM Muffler Gasket (B) designed for GX440 horizontal shaft engines. As an authentic Honda OEM component, this gasket is manufactured to the exact specifications of the original part, ensuring a proper seal between the muffler and the exhaust port. Verify your serial number against the fitment table to confirm part number 18382-Z2E-000 is the correct application for your GX440 engine before ordering.
Key Features
- Exhaust Seal Integrity — formed to the precise face geometry of the GX440 exhaust port, this gasket delivers a consistent, gas-tight seal between the muffler and cylinder head that an aftermarket piece may not replicate.
- Genuine Honda OEM Part — sourced directly from Honda, this Muffler Gasket (B) matches the original component in every dimension, so it drops into place without trimming or adjustment.
- Confirmed GX440 Fitment — built specifically for GX440 horizontal shaft engines; check your engine serial number against the compatibility table to confirm this is the correct variant for your unit.
- Exhaust Leak Prevention — a deteriorated or blown muffler gasket allows hot exhaust gases to escape at the joint, leading to excessive noise, carbon buildup around the exhaust port, and potential heat damage to surrounding components.
The muffler gasket forms the sealing interface between the muffler and the exhaust port on the engine. Its job is to contain combustion exhaust gases within the exhaust path, directing them safely through the muffler and out of the engine. When this gasket burns through or loses its sealing ability, exhaust gases escape at the joint — producing a loud ticking or blowing noise, depositing soot around the port, and exposing nearby parts to excessive heat. Replacing it with a correctly sized OEM piece restores the seal and brings exhaust noise and heat back under control.
