The Honda 19320-ZA0-980 Thermostat Cover is a genuine OEM replacement designed for EV4010, EV6010, and EVD4010 RV generators. As an authentic Honda part, it is manufactured to the same standards as the original component it replaces, ensuring a correct, drop-in fit without modification. Verify your generator's model against the fitment table and confirm your serial number before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at production breaks.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — sourced directly from Honda, this cover is built to the exact dimensional and material specifications of the original, ensuring proper seating and sealing over the thermostat housing.
- Direct OEM Replacement — engineered to install exactly as the factory part did, with no rework needed on the generator's cooling system housing.
- RV Generator Fitment — covers the EV4010, EV6010, and EVD4010 RV generator models; always cross-reference your serial number with the fitment table to confirm the correct variant for your unit.
- Cooling System Integrity — a damaged or missing thermostat cover compromises the thermostat's operating environment, which can disrupt temperature regulation and lead to improper engine warm-up behavior.
The thermostat cover houses and protects the thermostat in the generator's liquid cooling circuit. The thermostat itself regulates coolant flow between the engine and the cooling system, staying closed during warm-up to help the engine reach operating temperature quickly and opening once that temperature is achieved to allow coolant to circulate. The cover keeps the thermostat correctly seated and sealed within its housing. When the cover is cracked, warped, or missing, the thermostat is exposed to coolant leaks and temperature instability, which can cause the engine to run too cool, too hot, or trigger shutdowns on the RV generator.
