The Honda 22431-VH7-T31 V-Belt (3L-38.6) is a genuine OEM component designed for the HRX217 lawn mower. As a direct Honda OEM part, it is manufactured to the same specification as the belt your mower left the factory with, ensuring correct tension, width, and length for the drive system. Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks, so confirm your mower's serial number against the fitment table before ordering to make sure part number 22431-VH7-T31 is the right match for your unit.
Key Features
- OEM Drive Specification — genuine Honda construction ensures the correct 3L-38.6 profile, delivering proper grip and engagement across the full range of the HRX217 drive system
- Direct OEM Replacement — sourced from Honda, this belt installs as a direct swap with no trimming or adaptation, restoring the drive to its original operating condition
- HRX217 Fitment — built specifically for the HRX217 lawn mower; verify your serial number against the compatibility table to confirm this is the correct belt for your production range
- Drive Performance — a worn or cracked V-belt causes slipping, loss of self-propel function, or complete drive disengagement; replacing it with the correct OEM belt restores full power transfer and responsive ground drive
The V-belt is the link between the engine's output and the mower's drive system, transferring rotational power to move the machine forward under the self-propel function. Riding in a precisely shaped pulley groove, the belt relies on its cross-sectional profile and overall length to maintain the correct tension and grip — too loose and it slips; too worn and it breaks. On the HRX217, a failed or degraded belt means the self-propel system stops working, leaving the operator to push the mower under their own effort. Replacing it with a genuine OEM belt of the correct 3L-38.6 specification restores full drive engagement and keeps the mower performing as intended.
