The Honda 31138-PD1-004 Bearing Cover is a genuine OEM replacement designed for a wide range of Honda equipment, including BF115, BF130, BF135, BF140, BF150, BF175, BF200, BF225, and BF250 outboard motors, the H6522 compact tractor, and HS1336 and HSM1336 two-stage snow blowers. As a direct Honda OEM component, this Bearing Cover is manufactured to the exact specifications of the original part it replaces. Verify your model and serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at specific serial breaks and more than one version may have been fitted across a model's production run.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — sourced directly from Honda, this Bearing Cover matches the original in form and function, ensuring correct fit without modification
- Broad Fitment — covers BF115 through BF250 outboard motors, the H6522 compact tractor, and HS1336 and HSM1336 two-stage snow blowers, including models produced across multiple serial ranges
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda updates parts at production breaks; always confirm your machine's serial number against the fitment table to ensure this is the correct cover for your unit
- Bearing Protection — a properly seated bearing cover keeps the bearing correctly positioned and shielded from contamination, preventing premature wear that can compromise the components it supports
A bearing cover serves as a retaining and protective cap over a bearing assembly, holding the bearing in its housing and limiting exposure to debris, moisture, and other contaminants that cause accelerated wear. In applications ranging from outboard motors to snow blowers and compact tractors, maintaining bearing integrity is essential to smooth, consistent operation of the rotating components they support. When a bearing cover is cracked, missing, or improperly seated, contamination enters the bearing assembly, leading to increased friction, heat buildup, and eventual bearing failure that can sideline the equipment entirely.
