The Honda 31171-ZR6-T61 Rear Housing is a genuine OEM component designed for Honda EB3800, EB4000, EB5000, EB6500, EM3800, EM4000, EM5000, and EM6500 generators. As a factory-original part, this Rear Housing is manufactured to the exact tolerances Honda specifies for these generators, ensuring a direct, correct fit without the uncertainty that can come with non-OEM alternatives. Check the serial number on your generator against the fitment table to confirm this is the right part for your unit before ordering.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — sourced directly from Honda, this Rear Housing matches the original part it replaces in every critical dimension, ensuring proper alignment and enclosure of the generator's alternator assembly.
- Broad Generator Compatibility — fits Honda EB3800, EB4000, EB5000, EB6500, EM3800, EM4000, EM5000, and EM6500 generators, covering a wide range of Honda's conventional generator lineup.
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda updates parts at production serial breaks, so confirm your generator's serial number against the fitment table to ensure this is the correct housing for your specific unit.
- Structural Integrity Restored — a cracked, damaged, or warped rear housing compromises the enclosure of the alternator, which can lead to misalignment of internal components and reduced generator output; replacing it restores proper protection and structural support.
The rear housing is a structural enclosure that forms the back section of the generator's alternator assembly. It houses and supports the rear of the rotor and stator arrangement, keeping internal components correctly aligned and protected during operation. When the rear housing is cracked, broken, or warped, internal component alignment is disrupted, which can result in vibration, premature wear, or compromised electrical output from the generator.
