The Honda 31204-ZG5-003 Magnet Switch Assembly is a genuine OEM component designed for the EB12 generator and H6522 compact tractor. As a direct Honda OEM part, it is manufactured to the same specification as the original, ensuring a correct fit without guesswork. Confirm your serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks and more than one version of this assembly may be listed across production runs.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — sourced directly from Honda, this assembly matches the original specification for the EB12 generator and H6522 compact tractor exactly as it left the factory.
- Direct-Fit Replacement — engineered to drop into the position vacated by the original, with no rework needed to restore correct switch operation.
- Serial Number Matters — Honda revises parts at production breaks, so match your machine's serial number to the fitment table to confirm this is the right assembly for your unit.
- Restores Proper Switching Function — a failed or worn magnet switch assembly can prevent the machine from starting or disrupt electrical control functions; replacing it with the correct OEM part brings operation back to spec.
A magnet switch assembly uses a magnetic field to actuate an electrical switching circuit, typically as part of a starting or control system. In the EB12 generator and H6522 compact tractor, this component plays a role in signaling or enabling key electrical functions — when it degrades or fails, the machine may refuse to start or behave erratically in operation. Replacing a faulty magnet switch assembly with a genuine Honda part restores the integrity of that circuit and returns the machine to dependable service.
