The Honda 31481-ZA8-801 Grommet is a genuine OEM component designed for the EM650 generator. As a direct Honda replacement, this grommet is sourced from the same supply chain as the original part, ensuring it meets the same specifications Honda built into the EM650. Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — sourced directly from Honda, this grommet matches the original component installed at the factory, so no guesswork is involved in sizing or fitment.
- EM650 Generator Fitment — designed specifically for the Honda EM650 generator; verify your serial number against the fitment table to confirm this is the correct part for your machine.
- Simple Swap — replaces the worn or damaged original directly, restoring the generator to its intended configuration without the need for modification.
A grommet is a small but important sealing and cushioning insert, typically fitted where a wire, cable, or hose passes through a panel or housing. In the EM650 generator, it protects the opening it seats in and shields whatever passes through it from abrasion, vibration, and the elements. When a grommet cracks, tears, or goes missing, the opening is left exposed — allowing moisture, debris, or vibration to cause wear or damage to the components it was protecting. Replacing a damaged grommet promptly keeps the generator performing as Honda intended.
