The Honda 32114-230-003 Fuse Connector Case (Sumitomo) is a genuine OEM component designed for Honda EB6500, EM3500, EM5000, EM6000, and EX5500 generators. Sourced directly from Honda, this part matches the original Sumitomo-style connector housing used on these generators at the factory. When the fuse connector case cracks, melts, or loses its retention clip, the fuse connection becomes unreliable — replacing it with the correct OEM case restores a secure, weathertight fit to the electrical circuit. Confirm the part number 32114-230-003 against your generator's serial number and parts diagram before ordering, as Honda updates connector specifications across production runs.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Electrical Housing — factory-sourced Sumitomo-style connector case ensures the fuse seat and locking tab engage exactly as Honda intended, maintaining a secure connection in the generator's electrical circuit
- Exact Connector Compatibility — matches the Sumitomo connector format used on the EB6500, EM3500, EM5000, EM6000, and EX5500, so the housing seats and locks without modification
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda revises electrical components across production runs; check your generator's serial number against the fitment table to confirm this is the correct case for your unit
- Protects Circuit Integrity — a damaged or degraded connector case allows fuse contact to loosen or arc; replacing it promptly keeps the generator's electrical protection functioning as designed
The fuse connector case is the protective plastic housing that holds a blade or cartridge fuse in place within a generator's wiring harness. It locks the fuse terminals into firm contact with the circuit wiring and shields the connection from vibration, moisture, and heat. When the housing body cracks or its locking tab breaks, the fuse can seat loosely or lose contact entirely, causing intermittent faults or leaving the circuit unprotected — symptoms that can be difficult to trace without inspecting the connector itself.
