The Honda 34750-Z5T-W91 Electronic Control Unit is a genuine OEM component designed for GX390 horizontal shaft engines. Sourced directly from Honda, this unit matches the original specification and integrates exactly as the factory-installed part does. It is the correct replacement for GX390 engines that have developed faults in engine management or electronic control functions. Always confirm your engine's serial number against the fitment table before ordering to ensure this is the right unit for your machine.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Engine Management — a factory Honda part carrying the original calibration and programming for the GX390, ensuring the engine's electronic functions operate exactly as Honda designed them to
- Direct OEM Replacement — engineered to plug in and replace the original unit on GX390 horizontal shaft engines without adaptation, preserving all factory-wired connections and mounting geometry
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda revises control units at production serial breaks, so checking your engine's serial number against the compatibility table is the best way to confirm this is the correct unit for your specific GX390
- Restores Proper Engine Control — a failed or degraded electronic control unit can cause erratic governor response, ignition timing faults, or engine shutdowns; replacing it with a genuine Honda unit returns the engine to correct operation
The Electronic Control Unit is the electronic brain of the GX390 engine, managing functions such as ignition timing and, depending on the engine configuration, governor or throttle control signals. When this unit fails or develops faults, the engine may run erratically, fail to start, shut down unexpectedly, or lose the ability to hold a steady speed under load. Replacing it with a genuine Honda unit restores the precise electronic control the GX390 depends on for consistent, predictable performance across the equipment it powers.
