The Honda 34750-ZDX-702 Electronic Control Unit is a genuine OEM component designed for GX700 and GX800 horizontal shaft engines. As a direct Honda OEM part, it is manufactured to the same specification as the original unit and integrates without modification into the existing wiring and mounting points of these engines. Confirm your engine's serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes electronic components at specific serial breaks.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — sourced directly from Honda, ensuring the control unit matches the original electrical specifications for GX700 and GX800 engines with no guesswork on compatibility.
- Exact-Match Replacement — part number 34750-ZDX-702 is a direct replacement for the original unit, designed to integrate cleanly with the engine's existing harness and mounting hardware.
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda updates electronic components at production serial breaks; check your engine's serial number against the compatibility table to confirm this is the correct unit for your machine.
- Restored Engine Management — a faulty or failed electronic control unit can cause erratic engine behavior, starting problems, or loss of ignition control; replacing it restores proper operation.
The Electronic Control Unit manages key electrical functions within the GX700 and GX800 horizontal shaft engines, processing signals from sensors and triggers to govern ignition timing and other engine management outputs. It acts as the brain of the engine's electronic system — when it fails, symptoms can range from hard starting and misfires to a complete no-start condition. Installing a correct, OEM-specification replacement brings the engine's electrical management back to proper working order and ensures the engine performs as designed.
