The Honda 37760-MR1-003 Thermo Switch Assembly is a genuine OEM component designed for H4514 and H4518 lawn tractors. As a direct Honda OEM part, it is manufactured to the same specification as the original, ensuring a drop-in fit without modification. Confirm your tractor's serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks and this assembly may differ between production runs.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — sourced directly from Honda, this assembly meets the original design intent for temperature-sensitive switching in H4514 and H4518 lawn tractors.
- Direct-Fit Replacement — engineered to the same connector and mounting configuration as the original, this part installs without rework or adapter hardware.
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda updates part numbers at production breaks, so cross-check your tractor's serial number against the compatibility table to confirm this is the correct assembly for your unit.
- Protects Against Thermal Faults — a correctly functioning thermo switch responds accurately to temperature thresholds; a failed or sluggish switch can allow the engine to run outside its safe operating range or prevent normal operation altogether.
A thermo switch assembly is a temperature-activated electrical switch that monitors heat levels within the tractor and triggers a circuit response when a set threshold is reached — typically cutting power to a component or activating a warning system to protect the engine. On H4514 and H4518 lawn tractors, this switch plays a role in safeguarding the drivetrain from heat-related damage during operation. When the switch fails, it may either prevent the tractor from starting or allow it to run through conditions it should not, both of which can lead to more costly repairs down the line.
