The Honda 37800-ZC6-003 Fuel Unit is a genuine OEM component designed for the EB12 generator. Sourced directly from Honda, this part meets the exact specifications of the original unit it replaces. As a direct-fit OEM replacement, it installs into the EB12 without modification, restoring the fuel monitoring system to proper working order.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — manufactured to Honda's original specifications, ensuring the fuel unit functions exactly as the factory-installed component did on the EB12 generator
- Accurate Fuel Sensing — a correctly functioning fuel unit delivers consistent, reliable fuel level readings to the gauge, so operators know exactly how much runtime remains without guesswork
- Direct Replacement — engineered to drop into the EB12 as a like-for-like swap; confirm your serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks
The fuel unit is a sending unit that monitors the fuel level inside the generator's tank and transmits that reading to the fuel gauge on the control panel. It typically uses a float mechanism linked to a variable resistor — as the fuel level rises or falls, the float moves and the resistance changes, shifting the gauge needle accordingly. When the fuel unit fails or becomes stuck, the gauge reads inaccurately or not at all, leaving the operator without a dependable indicator of remaining fuel and risking an unexpected shutdown during operation.
