The Honda 38201-815-605 Fuse (8A) is a genuine OEM component designed for E1500, E2500, and EG1000 generators. As a direct OEM replacement, this fuse is sourced from Honda and matches the original specification exactly, so there is no guesswork about rating or fitment. This part is confirmed for E1500, E2500, and EG1000 Honda generators — verify your unit's serial number against the fitment table to ensure this is the correct fuse for your machine.
Key Features
- Correct 8A Rating — an OEM fuse carries the exact amperage rating Honda engineered for these generators, protecting the electrical circuit without nuisance tripping or under-protection.
- Genuine Honda OEM Part — sourced directly from Honda, part number 38201-815-605 is the same fuse installed at the factory, ensuring it seats and functions exactly as the original.
- Fits E1500, E2500, and EG1000 Generators — confirmed fitment across these Honda generator models; check your serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda sometimes supersedes parts at serial breaks.
- Restores Electrical Protection — a blown or degraded fuse leaves your generator's circuits unprotected; replacing it with this OEM part restores proper overcurrent protection and gets your generator back in service.
A fuse is the first line of defense in a generator's electrical system. When current draw exceeds the rated limit — due to an overload, a wiring fault, or a failing component — the fuse element melts and interrupts the circuit before damage can spread to more expensive parts. On E1500, E2500, and EG1000 generators, this 8A fuse guards the output circuit against exactly those conditions. When a fuse blows, the generator may produce no output or a particular circuit may go dead; replacing the fuse with one of the correct amperage rating is the first step in restoring normal operation.
