The Honda 47290-763-A00 Parking Brake Cable is a genuine OEM replacement designed for H3011 and H3013 riding mowers. Sourced directly from Honda, this cable is built to the same specification as the part that left the factory, ensuring correct engagement travel, proper tension, and a secure connection throughout the braking system. Confirm your mower's serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks and the correct cable depends on your specific production range.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Construction — manufactured to Honda's original specification for the H3011 and H3013, delivering the correct cable length, end fittings, and engagement feel that aftermarket alternatives may not replicate.
- Direct OEM Replacement — this cable is engineered to swap in place of the original with no modification, maintaining proper brake lever travel and consistent parking lock engagement.
- Riding Mower Fitment — confirmed for H3011 and H3013 Honda riding mowers; check your serial number against the compatibility table to verify the correct application for your unit.
- Parking Brake Function Restored — a stretched, frayed, or seized parking brake cable allows the mower to roll when parked; replacing it restores full, dependable parking lock engagement.
The parking brake cable is the mechanical link between the parking brake lever in the operator's station and the brake mechanism at the wheel or transaxle. When the operator sets the parking brake, pulling the lever applies tension through the cable, which locks the brake and holds the mower stationary on slopes and level ground alike. Over time, the cable can stretch, fray at the end fittings, or seize inside its housing due to corrosion or debris, causing the parking brake to feel sloppy, fail to hold, or refuse to release — any of which takes the mower out of service until the cable is replaced.
