The Honda 53311-V09-A01 Steering Shaft is a genuine OEM replacement designed for HA4118 and HA4120 lawn tractors. As a direct Honda OEM component, this shaft is manufactured to the same specifications as the original, ensuring a correct, trouble-free installation. This part fits both the HA4118 and HA4120 — always confirm your tractor's serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Construction — manufactured by Honda to the original specification, not an approximation: the shaft geometry, diameter, and end connections match what left the factory floor.
- Direct OEM Replacement — installs in place of the original without modification, restoring the steering linkage to its original operating condition.
- Fits HA4118 and HA4120 Lawn Tractors — purpose-built for these Honda lawn tractor models; verify your serial number against the fitment table to confirm the correct part for your unit.
- Steering Precision Restored — a worn or damaged steering shaft introduces play and imprecise directional control; replacing it brings the steering response back to spec.
The steering shaft is the mechanical link that transfers input from the steering wheel down through the steering column to the front wheel assembly of the tractor. It carries every steering input the operator makes, translating wheel rotation into directional movement. When the shaft wears, bends, or develops play at its connection points, steering becomes imprecise and difficult to control — replacing it with a genuine Honda part, such as part number 53311-V09-A01, restores the crisp.
