The Honda 72230-770-700ZA Left Rotary Pipe Extension Shaft (Black) is a genuine OEM component designed for FR600 and FR800 tillers. As a direct Honda OEM part, it is manufactured to the same specifications as the original, ensuring a correct fit with no guesswork. This part is confirmed for FR600 and FR800 tillers — verify your unit's model and serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks and the correct shaft for your machine depends on its production range.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — sourced directly from Honda, this shaft matches the original part's geometry and finish exactly, so installation aligns with the factory assembly.
- Left-Side Specific — designated for the left rotary pipe extension position; using the correct side-specific shaft is essential to proper tiller drivetrain alignment.
- Color-Identified Variant (Black) — the Black designation identifies this as a specific variant; confirm this matches the original part on your tiller before purchasing.
- Fits FR600 and FR800 Tillers — confirmed fitment for Honda FR600 and FR800 tillers; always cross-reference your serial number with the fitment table to ensure this is the correct shaft for your serial range.
The rotary pipe extension shaft transmits rotational force from the tiller's drive system out to the tine assembly, extending the driveline to reach the working width of the machine. On a rear-tine tiller like the FR600 and FR800, this shaft is a core part of the power delivery path — if it is worn, bent, or damaged, tine engagement becomes uneven or fails entirely, reducing tilling effectiveness and placing additional stress on surrounding drivetrain components. Replacing a damaged shaft with a genuine Honda part restores proper torque transfer and keeps the tiller operating as intended.
