The Honda 85268-SA5-003 Tailgate Stopper (Black) is a genuine OEM replacement designed for H4013, H4514, and H4518 lawn tractors, H5013 and RT5000 multi-purpose tractors, and the H6522 compact tractor. As a direct Honda OEM component, this stopper is built to the same specification as the original, ensuring correct function and fitment across the supported tractor lineup. Always verify your machine's serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks and this helps confirm you are selecting the right component for your unit.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Part — sourced directly from Honda, this stopper matches the original in material, color, and geometry — no guesswork on fit or function
- Black (Color-Matched) — the (Black) designation identifies this specific variant; confirm your tractor's tailgate stopper color before ordering if multiple variants are available for your model
- Broad Tractor Compatibility — fits H4013, H4514, H4518, H5013, H6522, and RT5000 tractors, covering Honda's lawn, multi-purpose, and compact tractor ranges
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda issues part updates at production serial breaks; check your tractor's serial number against the compatibility table to confirm this is the correct stopper for your machine
The tailgate stopper is a retention component that controls and limits the travel of the tractor's tailgate, keeping it securely positioned during operation and preventing it from swinging beyond its intended range of motion. Without a functioning stopper, the tailgate can move freely, leading to uncontrolled movement that may interfere with attachments or cargo. Replacing a worn, broken, or missing stopper restores proper tailgate operation and keeps the tractor working as intended.
