The Honda 90108-VD6-000 Special Bolt (8X9) is a genuine OEM fastener designed for H3011 and H3013 riding mowers and H4514 and H4518 lawn tractors. Sourced directly from Honda, this bolt matches the exact profile and thread specification Honda engineers specified for these machines, ensuring a proper fit without improvisation. Honda supersedes hardware at serial breaks, so confirm your machine's serial number against the fitment table before ordering to make sure part number 90108-VD6-000 is correct for your unit.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Hardware — manufactured to Honda's own specification, so the head profile, thread pitch, and shank length match what the original assembly required
- Purpose-Made Fastener — Honda designates this as a "special" bolt, meaning its geometry is specific to these machines and a standard off-the-shelf substitute may not engage correctly
- Broad Riding Equipment Coverage — listed for H3011 and H3013 riding mowers and H4514 and H4518 lawn tractors, including multiple production serial ranges
- Serial Number Check Advised — Honda updates hardware part numbers at production breaks; verify your machine's serial number against the fitment table to confirm this is the right bolt for your unit
A special bolt carries a profile, thread form, or shank geometry that differs from general-purpose fasteners of the same nominal size — that is why Honda catalogs it separately rather than listing a standard hex bolt. On riding mowers and lawn tractors, these purpose-specific fasteners are used wherever a standard bolt head would foul an adjacent component, require a precise clamp load, or need to locate a part as well as secure it. Using the wrong substitute can result in improper seating, gradual loosening, or interference with moving components, so replacing a worn or missing unit with the correct OEM piece is the straightforward fix.
