The Honda 90455-896-700 Tank Mounting Washer is a genuine OEM replacement designed for a wide range of Honda vertical shaft engines, lawn mowers, tillers, and power carriers, including GXV120, GXV160, GXV270, GXV340, and GXV390 engines, HR-series and HRA-series lawn mowers, the F210 tiller, and the HP400 power carrier. As an authentic Honda part, it matches the exact dimensions and material specification Honda uses at the factory, ensuring a correct, rattle-free mount every time. Because Honda supersedes parts across serial breaks, confirm your model and serial number against the fitment table before ordering to make sure part number 90455-896-700 is the right washer for your unit.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Honda — sourced directly from Honda, this washer meets the same dimensional spec as the original, so it seats and clamps correctly without shimming or modification.
- Broad Fitment — listed for GXV-series vertical shaft engines (GXV120, GXV160, GXV270, GXV340, GXV390), HR, HRA, and HRC-series lawn mowers, the F210 tiller, and the HP400 power carrier.
- Serial-Range Awareness — Honda updates part specifications at serial number breaks; check your machine's serial number against the compatibility table to confirm this is the correct washer for your specific unit.
- Secure Tank Mounting — a correctly fitted tank mounting washer maintains even clamping load at the tank attachment point, preventing movement that can stress fuel lines and fittings over time.
A tank mounting washer sits between the fuel tank fastener and the mounting surface, distributing clamping load evenly and preventing the fastener from biting into or cracking the tank or its bracket. Without it, the tank can work loose under vibration, stressing the connections around it. Replacing a missing or deformed washer with the correct Honda OEM piece restores the secure, rattle-free mounting Honda designed into these machines from the start.
