The Honda 90650-GEV-003 Harness Band is a genuine OEM Harness Band designed for Honda BF115, BF135, BF140, and BF150 outboard motors, as well as GCV530, GXV520, and GXV530 vertical shaft engines. As a direct OEM replacement, this part carries the same specifications Honda uses on the production line, so it seats and retains exactly as the original did. Verify your serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks and not all builds share the same component revision.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — sourced directly from Honda, this Harness Band meets the same retention and routing specifications as the part it replaces, with no guesswork on fit or function.
- Broad Fitment — listed for Honda BF115, BF135, BF140, and BF150 outboard motors and GCV530, GXV520, and GXV530 vertical shaft engines, including a range of serial breaks across those platforms.
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda updates harness routing hardware at production breaks; check your unit's serial number against the compatibility table to confirm part number 90650-GEV-003 is correct for your build.
- Keeps Wiring Secure — a properly retained harness prevents chafing, vibration-induced wear, and unintended contact with hot or moving components, maintaining clean electrical routing over the life of the machine.
A harness band is a retaining clip or tie used to bundle and secure wiring harnesses inside an engine or outboard, holding cables in their designed routing path and preventing movement during operation. When a harness band fails or goes missing, wiring can shift against engine components, leading to insulation wear, intermittent electrical faults, or short circuits. Keeping the harness properly restrained with the correct OEM band protects the wiring system and the components it serves across the full operating life of the equipment.
