The Honda 90683-KJ2-003 Wire Harness Clip is a genuine OEM component designed for a wide range of Honda outboard motors, generators, and riding mowers and lawn tractors, including models BF115, BF130, BF135, BF150, BF200, BF225. As a genuine Honda OEM part, this clip is manufactured to the same specification as the original, ensuring a direct, no-hassle replacement. Because Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks, buyers should verify their unit's serial number against the fitment table before ordering.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — sourced directly from Honda, this clip matches the original in form and function, so routing and retention are exactly as Honda intended
- Broad Cross-Platform Fitment — listed for Honda outboard motors, inverter and conventional generators, and riding mowers and lawn tractors; confirm your model and serial number against the fitment table before purchasing
- Secure Harness Retention — keeps wiring organized and firmly routed, preventing chafing, vibration wear, and accidental disconnection in demanding operating environments
- Serial Number Awareness — Honda issues supersession updates at specific serial breaks; always cross-check your machine's serial number with the fitment table to confirm part number 90683-KJ2-003 is correct for your unit
A wire harness clip is a small retaining fastener that holds wiring looms in their designed routing path inside a machine. By keeping conductors secured and separated from moving parts, heat sources, and sharp edges, this clip protects insulation integrity and maintains consistent electrical contact throughout the machine. When a clip breaks, goes missing, or is left out during service, wiring can shift, chafe, or pull free of connectors — leading to intermittent faults, shorts, or complete electrical failure in the system it serves.
