The Honda 90763-V09-A01 Woodruff Key is a genuine OEM Woodruff Key designed for the HA4118 lawn tractor. As an authentic Honda part, it meets the exact dimensional requirements of the original, ensuring a proper fit in the application. If you are sourcing a replacement, confirming part number 90763-V09-A01 against your serial number in the fitment table is the best way to verify you have the right key before ordering.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Dimensional Accuracy — a Woodruff Key must fit its slot and shaft precisely; this Honda OEM part is made to the exact specifications of the original, so the driven component seats correctly without wobble or play.
- Direct Replacement — engineered to drop directly into the keyway on the HA4118 lawn tractor with no rework or filing required.
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda supersedes parts across production runs, so check your machine's serial number against the fitment table to confirm this is the correct key for your unit.
A Woodruff Key is a small, semi-circular metal key that seats in a matching slot cut into a shaft and a mating hub or pulley. It locks the two components together rotationally, preventing the hub from spinning independently of the shaft. When a Woodruff Key shears or wears, the component it secures — such as a flywheel or drive pulley — can slip out of phase, causing loss of timing, vibration, or complete loss of drive. Replacing a damaged key with the correct OEM part restores the precise alignment the HA4118 lawn tractor depends on for proper operation.
