The Honda 91009-KJ1-003 Radial Ball Bearing (6202) is a genuine OEM component designed for GX340 and GX390 horizontal shaft engines and the H4013 lawn tractor. As a direct Honda OEM part, this bearing is manufactured to the same specifications as the original, ensuring an exact fit with no guesswork. Sourced directly through Honda's authorized parts network, this is the replacement buyers can rely on when the original bearing needs to be swapped out.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Ball Bearing — a true Honda original, dimensioned and rated to match the 6202-series specification called out in Honda's own parts list for these applications
- Direct OEM Replacement — drops into the same bore and shaft as the original, making installation straightforward without reworking the housing or shaft
- Broad Fitment — listed for GX340 and GX390 horizontal shaft engines and the H4013 lawn tractor; confirm your serial number against the fitment table, as Honda supersedes bearing part numbers at production breaks
- Smooth Rotation Where It Counts — a worn or seized bearing creates drag, heat, and shaft play that can lead to broader drivetrain or output shaft damage; replacing this bearing restores smooth, low-friction rotation
A radial ball bearing supports a rotating shaft against radial loads, allowing it to spin freely while holding it in correct alignment within its housing. In Honda GX-series horizontal shaft engines, bearings like this one are used at key shaft locations to reduce friction and carry the mechanical loads generated during operation. When a bearing wears, develops pitting, or seizes, the result is increased heat, noise, vibration, and accelerated wear to surrounding components — catching and replacing a failing bearing early protects the rest of the assembly.
