The Honda 91408-890-000 Cord Tube (22mm) is a genuine OEM replacement designed for EL5000, ES6500, and EX5500 generators, GX360 horizontal shaft engines, and HT3813 and HT4213 lawn tractors. As a factory-sourced component, this cord tube is manufactured to Honda's exact dimensions, ensuring the correct 22mm sizing that the original design requires. Verify your model and serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda periodically supersedes parts at specific serial breaks — confirming your machine's details helps ensure part number 91408-890-000 is the right fit for your unit.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Sizing — sourced directly from Honda, this 22mm cord tube meets the original dimensional specification, ensuring proper routing and retention of wiring or cables in the machine
- Broad Fitment — listed for EL5000, ES6500, and EX5500 generators, GX360 engines, and HT3813 and HT4213 lawn tractors, covering a wide range of Honda equipment including generators, a bare engine, and lawn tractors
- Confirm Your Serial Number — Honda updates parts at serial number breaks, so check your machine's serial number against the compatibility table to confirm this tube is correct for your specific unit
- Direct OEM Replacement — this part installs as a straightforward swap for a worn, cracked, or missing original tube, restoring the proper management and protection of cords and wiring in your equipment
The Cord Tube (22mm) is a protective routing sleeve used to guide and shield wiring or control cables within the machine's housing. By holding cords in a defined path, it prevents chafing, pinching, or contact with moving parts or hot surfaces that could damage the wiring over time. When the tube cracks, collapses, or goes missing, cables can shift out of position, increasing the risk of wear on the wiring and making reassembly after service more difficult.
