The Genie 1252979GT Upper Radiator Hose, Perkins is a genuine OEM cooling system component built for the Genie Z-80/60 articulating boom lift. Sourced directly from Genie, this part is manufactured to the same specifications as the original, ensuring a correct fit without modification. Cross-reference part number 1252979GT against your machine's parts manual to confirm this is the right hose for your unit before ordering.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — Made to Genie's original material and dimensional specifications, with reinforced radiator hose construction suited to engine cooling demands.
- Perkins Engine Compatibility — Engineered specifically for the Perkins engine configuration on the Z-80/60, matching the correct inlet and outlet diameters for a leak-free connection.
- Direct OEM Replacement — Fits the Genie Z-80/60 articulating boom lift as a factory-correct drop-in part, restoring the cooling circuit to original condition.
- Cooling System Integrity — A sound upper radiator hose maintains proper coolant flow between the engine and radiator. A cracked, swollen, or weeping hose can lead to overheating and unplanned machine downtime.
- Operational Safety — On an aerial boom lift, engine overheating caused by a failed cooling hose can trigger shutdowns at height. Replacing a worn hose promptly with the correct OEM part supports safe, uninterrupted operation.
The upper radiator hose carries coolant from the engine to the top of the radiator, where heat is transferred to the surrounding air before the cooled fluid returns to the engine. On the Genie Z-80/60, maintaining a sound, leak-free hose is essential to keeping the engine within its operating temperature range. A hose that is cracked, collapsing, or weeping coolant will reduce cooling capacity and can lead to overheating — causing the machine to shut down and potentially damaging internal engine components if left unaddressed.
