The Genie 1298183GT is a genuine OEM Muffler Assembly designed for the RL4 LED Vertical Mast light tower. Sourced directly from Genie, this assembly carries part number 1298183GT and references component, ensuring you receive the correct, factory-matched unit for your machine. Cross-reference 1298183GT against your RL4 LED parts manual to confirm this is the right assembly for your serial number before ordering.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — Manufactured to Genie's original design specs, this muffler assembly meets the same material and dimensional standards as the part it replaces on the RL4 LED.
- Exact-Match Replacement — Built specifically for the RL4 LED Vertical Mast light tower, this assembly installs directly without modification, using the same mounting configuration as the original.
- Confirmed RL4 LED Fitment — Engineered for the Genie RL4 LED Vertical Mast unit, so there is no guesswork about compatibility when you order by part number 1298183GT.
- Exhaust Noise Reduction — A sound muffler assembly keeps engine exhaust noise within acceptable levels, which matters on jobsites with noise ordinances or where the unit operates near workers for extended periods.
- Operational Safety — A failed or damaged muffler assembly can direct exhaust gases improperly, creating a hazard for nearby personnel. Replacing a worn unit promptly restores safe exhaust routing on the light tower.
A muffler assembly dampens and redirects exhaust gases produced by the engine, reducing noise output and directing combustion byproducts safely away from the unit and its operators. On a light tower such as the RL4 LED, the muffler works continuously alongside the engine during extended lighting runs — making its condition directly tied to both noise levels and safe operation. When the muffler assembly cracks, corrodes, or loses its sealing integrity, exhaust noise increases noticeably and gases may escape in unintended directions; replacing the assembly with the correct OEM part restores proper exhaust flow and brings the unit back to its original operating standard.
