Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — Manufactured to Genie OEM specifications, matching the original Kohler muffler's dimensions and material grade for a dependable, correctly fitted replacement.
- Direct OEM Replacement — Engineered to install in place of the original component on the RL4 Vertical Mast with no adaptation required on the Kohler engine mount points.
- Confirmed Fitment — Specifically matched to the Genie RL4 Vertical Mast light tower; cross-reference part number 1266747GT against your machine's parts manual before ordering.
- Exhaust Noise Control — A properly functioning muffler keeps engine exhaust noise within acceptable levels for jobsite operation, supporting a safer and more manageable working environment.
- Protects Engine Longevity — A failed or damaged muffler can disrupt back-pressure balance on the Kohler engine, accelerating wear; replacing it promptly with the correct OEM part preserves engine health.
A muffler reduces the noise produced by engine exhaust gases as they exit the combustion chamber, channeling them through baffled chambers that dampen sound before releasing them to the atmosphere. On a light tower like the RL4 Vertical Mast, the engine runs for extended periods to power the lighting system, making a sound muffler essential for controlled noise output throughout operation. A cracked, corroded, or missing muffler increases exhaust noise significantly and can direct hot gases toward components or personnel — replacing a worn unit with the correct OEM part restores proper exhaust management and keeps the machine operating as intended.
