The Multiquip 0228900970 is a genuine OEM Rubber Seal designed for Multiquip ultra-silent diesel generator models including the DCA36SPX, DCA500SSK, and DCA600SSK. As a direct OEM replacement, this seal is manufactured to the exact material and dimensional specifications Multiquip requires for these units. Sourced through DHS Equipment, it ships as the correct part for your machine — no guesswork on compatibility.
Key Features
- OEM-Grade Elastomer Construction — Manufactured from the same rubber compound specified for the original seal, ensuring correct compression, flexibility, and resistance to heat and vibration exposure inside the generator enclosure.
- Direct Drop-In Replacement — Engineered to the original profile and dimensions, this seal seats exactly as the factory part does, allowing a straightforward swap without trimming or adjustment.
- Confirmed Fitment — Verified for Multiquip DCA36SPX, DCA500SSK, and DCA600SSK ultra-silent diesel generator models.
- Maintains Enclosure Integrity — A properly seated rubber seal keeps noise-dampening panels and access doors closed tight, preserving the acoustic performance these ultra-silent units are built for.
- Fuel and Fluid Ingress Protection — Where applicable, a sound, intact seal prevents moisture, dust, and exhaust from migrating into sensitive enclosure areas, protecting internal components over extended runtimes.
A rubber seal on a generator enclosure serves as the compression barrier between panels, doors, or access covers and the generator housing itself. It prevents external contaminants — dust, moisture, and debris — from entering the enclosure while also contributing to sound attenuation on ultra-silent models like the DCA series. When a seal degrades, cracks, or loses its compression, gaps form in the enclosure that can allow ingress of contaminants and compromise the unit's acoustic isolation, leading to increased noise output and potential long-term damage to internal components.
