The Multiquip 0228901290 Rubber Seal is a genuine OEM component designed for the DCA400SSI ultra-silent diesel generator. As a factory-sourced part, it meets the original material and dimensional specifications required to maintain a proper seal within the generator assembly. This part is a direct replacement for worn or damaged seals on DCA400SSI units and ships as an exact match to the original.
Key Features
- OEM-Grade Elastomer Construction — Manufactured to the original compound and compression specification, ensuring consistent sealing performance under the thermal and pressure cycles typical of diesel generator operation.
- Direct Drop-In Replacement — Dimensioned to match the original seal profile on the DCA400SSI, allowing straightforward installation without modification to the surrounding housing or mating surfaces.
- Confirmed Fitment for DCA400SSI — Sourced and validated specifically for the Multiquip DCA400SSI ultra-silent diesel generator series.
- Prevents Fluid and Air Bypass — A correctly seated rubber seal stops unwanted fluid migration or air infiltration at the sealing point, protecting adjacent components and maintaining generator efficiency.
- Fuel and Fluid System Integrity — Seal failure in a diesel generator can lead to leaks that present both a fire risk and an environmental compliance concern — replacing with the correct OEM part restores safe, compliant operation.
A rubber seal creates a compressed barrier between two mating surfaces or around a moving shaft, preventing the passage of fluids, gases, or contaminants. In a diesel generator like the DCA400SSI, seals are critical to maintaining the integrity of fuel, oil, and coolant circuits throughout operation. When a seal degrades — through heat cycling, compression set, or chemical exposure — it can allow leaks that lead to fluid loss, contamination of other systems, or component damage if left unaddressed.
