Key Features
- OEM-Grade Sealing Material — Manufactured from rubber compounded to withstand the heat cycles, vibration, and operating pressures found in diesel generator applications.
- Drop-In Replacement — Engineered to the original dimensional profile, so it seats correctly without trimming or reworking the mating surfaces.
- Confirmed Fitment — Verified for the Multiquip TLG12SPX diesel powered generator using OEM part number 0229400840.
- Preserves Leak-Free Operation — A properly functioning seal prevents fluid or air intrusion at the joint it protects, keeping the generator running within its designed operating parameters.
- Genuine Multiquip OEM Part — Sourced directly through the Multiquip parts network, so you receive the same component installed at the factory — not a generic substitute.
A rubber seal creates a compression barrier between two mating surfaces or components, preventing the passage of fluids, gases, or contaminants. In a diesel generator, seals appear throughout the engine, fuel system, and housing assemblies, and each one plays a role in maintaining correct pressure and preventing leaks. When a seal hardens, cracks, or deforms from age or heat exposure, it can allow leaks that lead to fluid loss, contamination, or accelerated wear on surrounding components — making timely replacement important to keeping the generator in service.
