The Multiquip 0241080010 Grommet is a genuine OEM component designed for the GA-2.3R2 portable generator. As a direct Multiquip OEM part, it is manufactured to the same specifications as the original, ensuring a proper fit and long service life. This grommet is the correct replacement choice for technicians and operators maintaining GA-2.3R2 generators and looking for an exact, like-for-like solution.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Material Grade — Produced from the same compound and durometer as the original, so the grommet seats, seals, and cushions exactly as intended from day one.
- Drop-In Installation — Matches the original mounting aperture on the GA-2.3R2, allowing direct installation without trimming, stretching, or adapting the surrounding hardware.
- Confirmed GA-2.3R2 Fitment — Verified for Multiquip GA-2.3R2 portable generators, so you can order with confidence knowing the part is right for your machine.
- Protects Wiring and Panels from Abrasion — A properly seated grommet prevents metal edges from chafing cables or hoses passing through the panel, maintaining electrical and fluid integrity over extended run hours.
- Prevents Vibration-Induced Wear — Generator operation creates continuous vibration; a sound grommet absorbs that movement and stops progressive wear at every penetration point it covers.
A grommet is a small but critical sealing and protection insert fitted into holes or openings in a panel, housing, or frame where wires, cables, or hoses pass through. It creates a smooth, finished edge that shields those lines from the sharp metal of the aperture, preventing chafing, cracking, and eventual short circuits or leaks. When a grommet hardens, tears, or goes missing, the unprotected edges of the opening can quickly damage whatever runs through it, leading to electrical faults or fluid loss that can take a generator out of service entirely.
