The Multiquip 0602014071 Hose Band is a genuine OEM component designed for the DCA40SSAI and DCA40SSI ultra-silent diesel generator series. Sourced directly from Multiquip, this hose band delivers the exact fit and material spec required to maintain a secure, leak-free hose connection within the cooling and fluid systems of these units. It is a direct OEM replacement, ensuring the hardware meets the original engineering requirements without modification. Keeping the correct hose band in place is essential for maintaining system integrity on DCA40SSAI and DCA40SSI generators operating in demanding on-site conditions.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Clamping Integrity — Built to the same tension and material spec as the original, ensuring consistent clamping force without deforming the hose or allowing creep over time.
- Direct Drop-In Replacement — Matches the original band diameter and fastener style for the DCA40SSAI and DCA40SSI, so installation is straightforward with no re-engineering of the hose routing.
- Confirmed Fitment — Verified for compatibility with DCA40SSAI and DCA40SSI ultra-silent generator models.
- Prevents Coolant and Fluid Loss — A properly tensioned hose band holds fluid system connections under heat and vibration cycles; a worn or incorrectly sized band can allow seepage that leads to overheating or fluid contamination.
- Fuel and Coolant System Safety — On generator sets where hose connections carry hot coolant or fuel, a correctly rated OEM band is critical to preventing hazardous leaks during sustained load operation.
A hose band, or hose clamp, is the fastening hardware that holds a flexible hose firmly onto a fitting, nipple, or pipe stub within a machine's cooling, fuel, or fluid circuit. It works by applying even radial pressure around the hose to create a sealed connection that resists both internal pressure and the vibration generated during engine operation. When a hose band corrodes, loses tension, or is the wrong size, the hose can slip or weep fluid — leading to coolant loss, overheating, or fuel system issues that take the generator offline.
