The Multiquip 0602040587 Air Cleaner Band is a genuine OEM component designed for DCA25SSI and DCA40SSI ultra-silent diesel generators. As an authorized Multiquip replacement part, it is manufactured to the same standards as the original, ensuring a correct, secure fit on the air cleaner assembly. DHS Equipment stocks this part to keep your generator service-ready with verified OEM components. Confirm your model code against DCA25SSI or DCA40SSI before ordering to ensure compatibility.
Key Features
- OEM-Grade Retention: — Manufactured to original Multiquip specifications, providing the correct clamping tension to keep the air cleaner sealed against dust and debris ingestion.
- Direct-Fit Installation: — Engineered to mount directly onto the air cleaner housing of DCA25SSI and DCA40SSI generators with no reworking of the mounting points.
- Confirmed Generator Fitment: — Verified for use on Multiquip DCA25SSI and DCA40SSI ultra-silent generator models.
- Protects Engine Air Supply: — A properly secured air cleaner band maintains an airtight connection between the filter housing and intake, protecting engine components from unfiltered air under load.
- Fuel System Safety: — A failed or loose band can allow unfiltered air into the intake, leading to accelerated wear on fuel system and internal engine components — replacing a worn band promptly prevents costly downstream damage.
The air cleaner band is a retaining component that clamps and secures the air cleaner assembly to the engine intake, maintaining a sealed connection between the filter housing and the air inlet. On generator sets like the DCA25SSI and DCA40SSI, where consistent power output depends on a clean, unrestricted air supply, a properly tensioned band ensures the filter stays firmly seated during operation and vibration. When this band stretches, cracks, or loses its holding force, the air cleaner can shift or loosen, allowing unfiltered air to bypass the filter element and reach engine internals.
