The Multiquip 0728100489 Hose Band is a genuine OEM component designed for the DCA400SSK, DCA400SSK2, DCA400SPK, DCA600SSK, and related ultra-silent diesel generator models. Sourced directly from Multiquip, this hose band delivers the exact clamp diameter, band width, and material specification required by the original equipment design. It is a direct drop-in replacement for worn or damaged bands on affected DCA series generators, confirming fitment across the DCA400SSK, DCA400SPK, and DCA600SSK platforms. Keep one on hand to support scheduled cooling system maintenance and minimize unplanned service interruptions.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Clamping Integrity — Manufactured to the original band tension and material specification, ensuring the hose connection seats and seals exactly as it did at the factory.
- Direct Drop-In Installation — Matches the original mounting diameter and band profile, allowing the clamp to seat onto existing hose fittings without modification.
- Broad DCA Series Compatibility — Confirmed fitment for DCA400SSK, DCA400SSK2, DCA400SPK, DCA600SSK, DCA400SSK-GEER, DCA400SSK-SUNBELT, and DCA600SSK-GEER generator models.
- Coolant System Security — A correctly tensioned hose band prevents coolant seepage at hose joints, protecting the generator's cooling circuit and supporting consistent operating temperatures under load.
- Corrosion-Resistant Construction — Built to withstand the heat cycling and moisture exposure typical of enclosed diesel generator environments, reducing the risk of band fatigue or rust-related loosening over time.
A hose band — commonly called a hose clamp — secures coolant, fuel, or air hoses to their connecting fittings by applying even radial pressure around the hose circumference. On diesel generators like the DCA series, these bands play a critical role in keeping the cooling circuit sealed under pressure and temperature fluctuation. When a hose band weakens, corrodes, or loses tension, it can allow coolant to weep from joints, leading to overheating and potential engine damage if left unaddressed.
