Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction: — Manufactured to Multiquip's exact tolerances, ensuring the keyset engages and locks with the precision these hydrostatic trowel systems demand.
- Direct Drop-In Replacement: — Engineered to match the original HTH/STH keyset profile, allowing straightforward installation without modification or fabrication.
- Confirmed Fitment: — Verified compatible with HTX44Y4 and HTX44Y5 Whiteman hydrostatic ride-on power trowels.
- Maintains Secure Drive Connection: — A worn or missing keyset can cause slippage or disengagement in the drive assembly; replacing it promptly keeps torque transfer consistent and protects downstream components.
- OEM Part Number Assurance: — Ordering by Multiquip part number 12627 eliminates the risk of receiving an incompatible substitute for your HTX series machine.
A keyset is a small but critical fastening component used to lock a rotating shaft to a hub, gear, or sprocket, preventing relative movement between the two parts during operation. In a hydrostatic ride-on trowel like the HTX44Y4 and HTX44Y5, the keyset maintains the integrity of the drive connection so power is transferred cleanly and consistently. When a keyset wears, shears, or goes missing, the connected components can slip or spin freely, leading to loss of control and accelerated wear on surrounding parts.
