When a fuel issue arises, the first thing most people pinpoint is the carburetor. This can be and usually is the culprit when experiencing fuel issues, but it isn’t the only one. Before you purchase a replacement carburetor and end up with the same issue, a couple of things to check: make sure fuel is flowing properly from the fuel tank to the carburetor, and make sure there are no rips or tears in the gaskets around the carburetor. If these have been checked and fuel still isn’t flowing through the carburetor itself, the carburetor is likely the issue. When replacing the carburetor, we also recommend you replace the gaskets as well. Gaskets: cylinder side (16221-Z0D-V00) and air filter side (17228-Z0D-V01).
